I wish you the best on your trip, your trip out west
And I, when you left you left
Me drowning
There's no twelve step plan just
Me and my careful hand, but
I'm having trouble getting through

Mother, oh mother
You leave me so bad
There's nothing other
To replace what we had
Mother, oh mother
We are all so mad
I'm growing taller
But it still makes me sad
Once there was a time when everything was fine
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Sister, oh sister
I'm not quite sure what to say
No doubt everything I do
Will be used against me someday
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Brother, oh brother
You've always been my friend
When I need a shoulder
You're there again
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Once there was a time when everything seemed fine
Daddy, oh daddy
You work so hard
You know I try to
Make you proud

A candle flickers on the table
Safe inside
It took me several miles
Before I realized
Raindrops keep fallin' so sweet like
Lemondrops on rooftops
And when you sing to me
Raindrops keep fallin' so sweet like
Lemondrops on rooftops
And when you sing to me
Holidays spent by the piano
Dreams alive
It took me several miles
Before I realized
Raindrops keep fallin' so sweet like
Lemondrops on rooftops
And when you sing to me
Raindrops keep fallin' so sweet like
Lemondrops on rooftops
And when you sing to me
Raindrops keep fallin'
Raindrops keep fallin'
Raindrops keep fallin'
Fallin'

Stranger to Me

I see some people on the street
We'll wave hello, but we'll never meet
End of story
End of story
End of story
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me
Please don't be
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me
I bet your feelings are all mixed up, all mixed up
I see you struggling to find which way is up
But the stars told me we'd be okay
But no one really knows their own fate
I must say though
This wasn't a mistake
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me
Please don't be
Please don't be
Don't be a stranger to me

Machinery missing parts
A crack in my heart
Uncharted road
I left it unknown
My arms were bare
This is diseased and unfair
If this is
How it will end
A tendency to guilt me in and reprehend
If this is
How it seems
Oh, you've got to be joking
I'll cry out to be heard
No doubt I miss her
I'll sing my lavish words
Through the wreckage she claims
"No I'm still the same"
Let's see, let's check, oh yes
Still on my neck
Unfortunate love
Is it enough
And I'll cry out to be heard
No doubt I miss her
I'll sing my lavish words

That morning I awoke to an easy song
Night before possessed a feeling lasting strong
The breath that he breathed was so light and flawless
Lingered there, in the air
I saw it, I saw it
His lips of deep violet and chin tilted towards me
I felt on my neck
An angel's accord
Oh it was so sweet
Locked us in between
Careful lines, careful not to cross
Foster these bonds, waltzing along
To the music that plays in our ears
And above our heads hangs the grand chandelier
Oh it was so sweet
Locked us in between
Such a beautiful scene
He's my remedy
A spoonful of honey
Cured my soul
Just one starry-skied night
And the world seemed to slow
Down

He's so, so handsome
They stop him in the street
Everyone he meets

He's so, so handsome

Everyone he meets
He's so sweet
He's so sweet

He's so, so handsome
They stop him in the street
Everyone he meets
He's so sweet
He's so sweet

Gold Lion Minnesota
Gold Lion awoke from his slumber in the spring. The lush, callow grass was faintly glistening from the fresh morning dew.
His wide eyes blinked torpidly at the world around him. In his low rumbling whisper he sang ever tenderly, "I'll show you where the light is". All God's creatures joined in harmony to the aria of the earth, and everything was well.
Long live power folk.
